I am a Scottish-Indian comedian based in Edinburgh.
I formally launched myself as a stand-up comedian in 2025 - I entered the Spirit of Comedy competition, sponsored by Dutch Barn Vodka (co-owned by Ricky Gervais). After winning the earlier rounds, I performed in the final at Leicester Square Theatre.
I'm a retired academic - now an Emeritus Professor. I have had sold-out research-based comedy shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. My 2024 hour-long show, Physical Experiments are so passé, argued that computer simulations are the new superheroes of science. In 2025, Organised Chaos, explored the brilliance and comedy of interdisciplinary research.
In a previous incarnation as a student in India, I wrote and performed award-winning comedy sketches. Over the years I smuggled humour into lectures and conference talks.
